This course develops awareness of internet-based molecular biology information and encourages exploration and use of the wide range of databases available to those working in the fields of biology, biotechnology and medicine. Different tools and computational methods are applied to analyze DNA, RNA and protein sequences. The course is designed to meet the increasing demand for individuals skilled in using computers to investigate the growing quantities of genetic information for biomedical research.
