A general introduction to the design of data warehouses and data mining. Students learn the dimensional models and apply them to data warehouses for different business applications. Topics in data mining will range from statistics to machine learning to database, with a focus on analysis of large datasets. Data preparation, classification, prediction, associated rule mining and clustering will be covered with focus on applications to large real world data.
