Lighting Controls for Stage and Studio
Description
An advanced study of lighting control systems, console programming and automated lighting control. Control system architecture, set-up and communication protocols will be used to study advanced programming techniques. Automated fixtures, advanced dimming systems, color scrollers, and traditional lighting fixtures will be studied in a fully functional moving light lab. Students will receive individual instruction using computer emulation, WYSIWYG simulation and hands-on programming sessions on a variety of consoles.For hybrid and online sections, minimum technology requirements are a working camera and microphone. Students are to switch both on at the instructor’s request.
