Description
"This is a study of microcomputer operating systems, and the usage of selective features of popular microcomputer-base systems. The course introduces the operating system concept as applies to MS DOS, MS Windows 2000 and UNIX. Main Focus will be on Windows 2000. Comparison topics cover the DOS file system and those of the introduced systems, process and memory management, graphics and GUIs. Other topics will cover multitasking, multiprocessing, security, compatibility, communications and networking support. All concepts will be demonstrated through laboratory assignments."
