Voice and Diction

Description

Instruction and practice in basic elements of voice and speech production, speech and vocal mechanisms, analysis of American English speech sounds and techniques of controlling pitch, volume, and rate of speaking. Standard and non-standard American English dialect patterns examined.The minimum technological requirements for fully online sections of this course are a working camera and microphone. Students are expected to turn on cameras and microphones at their instructor's request.
