Description
A history of the visual arts and artists from the Caribbean region from its earliest origins to the present. Students explore both the historical and contemporary significance of the art from its earliest origins to the present. This course examines the roots, main currents, forms, styles, content, aesthetics and ideological dimensions of Caribbean art, as well as the extent to which it has captured the essence of the Black experience.
